Be A Volunteer

We need you.

Could you help?

Over 200 volunteers deliver a staggering 35,000 hours of voluntary hours each year representing a benefit in kind wage saving of £500,000.

The People’s Kitchen has transformed thousands of lives but this work would be impossible without the work of the charity’s volunteers. Our team of volunteers are like a large family, all working towards a common goal – to grow, collect, prepare and serve some 40,000 hot meals per year. We are in need of a number of specific roles at the moment, please take a look.

Simply the best

The sterling work of our Volunteers even received Royal recognition in 2014. The charity was bestowed the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service – an annual award given to groups in the voluntary sector in the UK. This award is the equivalent to an MBE – that’s how spectacular our team is – and is the highest award given to a voluntary group. So could you help?
