25 Years of Service
We were delighted when our newest patron, Her Grace the Duchess of Northumberland, recently visited our center in Bath Lane to look at our work and meet a number of our friends using the centre.
From humble beginnings in 1985, the charity’s late founder Alison Kay laid the foundations for today’s thriving organisation
The Peoples' Kitchen operates 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year
from the Alison Centre in Bath Lane and from a mobile catering unit enabling us to reach more than 650 people each week.
The Duchess presented the Trustees with a commemorative award to mark 25 years of service by the Peoples' Kitchen through the help given to disadvantaged people in the area coping with life without a permanent home.
