Services - The Peoples Kitchen

Our Services

140 hot meals every night

Around 140 hot meals are served every night The People’s Kitchen is operational. That equates to around 40,000 meals per year – or over a million acts of kindness in the past 30 years.

Our team of kitchen volunteers prepare freshly cooked and nutritious three course meals every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the year, to serve inside our Alison Centre home. A late night supper is also served on the streets on Monday and Thursday, as well as a breakfast every Sunday morning. Our services are accessed by over 800 Friends each week, who typically join us twice weekly.

  • Food & Friendship

Founded in 1985 as a soup kitchen, we have evolved to offer a range of services, all with food and friendship at their heart, during the evenings and weekends when professional support is not available.

  • Hot Meals

Around 140 hot meals are served every single night that The People’s Kitchen is open. Add this to the meals we serve on the streets from our outreach team, and you get over 40,000 hot meals every year.
